Stay up to date with OSHA’s Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard, one of the most frequently cited and most heavily fined regulations. This attorney-led session will help you understand what a truly effective hazardous energy control program requires. Aaron Gelb will share lessons learned from years of defending employers during serious OSHA inspections and enforcement actions. He will describe the five essential document types every LOTO program should include and explain how to strengthen program compliance and reduce risk.

Presenter:
Aaron Gelb is Co-Managing Partner at Conn Maciel Carey, based in Chicago. Aaron leads the firm’s Midwest OSHA Defense Team, representing employers in inspections, investigations, and enforcement actions involving Federal or State OSHA. He manages investigations of catastrophic industrial, construction, and manufacturing workplace accidents. Aaron handles all aspects of OSHA litigation, conducts safety training and compliance counseling. In 2024, CMC’s OSHA practice was recognized by Chambers as one of the Top 3 OSHA practice groups in the country for the third year in a row. Aaron was recognized as a Band 2-ranked OSHA practitioner in the Nationwide OSHA Defense Attorney rankings.
