Ethics extends far beyond policies, procedures, and compliance—it defines who we are and how we lead. In this thought-provoking session, Dr. Smyrna Khalaf, Assistant Professor at Wheaton College and National Certified Counselor, will guide participants through an engaging exploration of how ethical decision-making shapes our personal and professional lives.
Objectives:
- Define ethics as it applies to personal and professional conduct beyond compliance requirements.
- Identify and explain key ethical principles that influence decision-making in the workplace.
- Analyze real-world ethical dilemmas to determine effective reasoning and judgment approaches.
- Evaluate how leadership behaviors and organizational culture affect ethical decision-making and accountability.
- Develop strategies to promote ethical awareness, transparency, and trust within their teams and organizations.
Presenter:
Dr. Smyrna Khalaf, Assistant Professor at Wheaton College
Dr. Khalaf brings over 14 years of international experience in counseling, teaching, and supervision across the Middle East, where she has trained professionals and volunteers supporting refugees and trauma-impacted populations. Drawing from real-life examples and case studies, she will help attendees examine how individual and organizational choices impact integrity, trust, and culture.
